The Best
IVF Centre in Delhi would follow the five basic steps in the IVF and embryo
transfer procedure. It starts with the monitoring and stimulating the
development of the eggs in the ovaries. The monitoring and stimulating of the eggs
is followed by collecting the eggs and then protected the sperm. These are then
together combined in the laboratory and are provided an appropriate environment
for the fertilization and the embryo growth. The procedure is then ended with the
transfer of these embryos into the uterus.
Any Best IVF Centre in Delhi
will make sure that they provide you with the fertility medications. These will
be approved in order to manage the timing of the ripening of the egg. Doing
this increases the chance of the collecting numerous eggs during one menstrual
cycle. Multiple eggs are required as some eggs may not grow or fertilize after
the retrieval. This is known as the ovulation induction. Egg development is
monitored using ultrasound to observe the ovaries. Blood test samples are also
in use to examine the hormone levels.
Ovulation
induction is then followed by retrieval of the eggs through the minor surgical
process which uses ultrasound imaging. This guides a hollow needle throughout
the pelvic cavity and the eggs are removed from the ovaries using the hollow
needle. This method is known as the follicular aspiration. Some women
experience cramping on the day of the retrieval, which generally subsides the
following day. A feeling of the fullness or pressure, however, may maintain for
a few weeks following the procedure.
In
the next step, the sperm obtained by the ejaculation is secured for combining
with the eggs.
The
fourth step is called for the insemination. It is the process in which the
sperm and the eggs are placed in incubators in the lab. During this procedure,
a single sperm is injected directly to the egg in order to achieve the
fertilization. The eggs are further monitored to confirm that the fertilization
and the cell division are taking place. These eggs are then formed into the
embryos.
In
the last and the final step of this procedure, the embryos are transferred into
the woman's uterus from one to six days later. In the most cases, however, the
transfer occurs from the two to three days following the retrieval of eggs. At
this stage, the fertilized egg to develops into the two-to-four cell embryo. A
predetermined number of the embryos are suspended in fluid and gently placed
into the womb through the catheter. This process is often guided by the ultrasound
and is usually painless.
